Freedom values
Independence, choice and room to be yourself
The Freedom family brings together 6 core values: Freedom, Adaptability, Autonomy, Independence, Individuality and Privacy. They share a theme, independence, choice and room to be yourself, and each puts the weight somewhere slightly different. If two or three of them feel true of you, this theme probably matters a lot in how you choose your work and spend your time.
The values in Freedom
Freedom
Freedom as a core value means having room to choose how you live: few limits, options left open, and the ability to change your mind, say no or walk away.
Adaptability
Adaptability as a core value means adjusting well when circumstances change, switching roles, plans or approaches quickly while keeping a clear sense of who you are.
Autonomy
Autonomy as a core value means making your own choices about how you work and live, within whatever goals and limits apply, and being trusted to do so.
Independence
Independence as a core value means being able to manage on your own, with your own income, skills and judgement, so your life doesn’t hinge on anyone else showing up.
Individuality
Individuality as a core value means being recognisably your own person, with tastes, opinions and a path through life that you’ve chosen yourself, whatever the crowd is doing.
Privacy
Privacy as a core value means choosing carefully what you share and with whom, keeping some parts of your life for yourself and protecting other people’s confidences.
